Review – Kinokuniya (Austin)

Today we connected with a really good friend we hadn’t seen in a long time! One year to be exact! We planned on meeting up to eat sushi for dinner at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar – We were running late so our friend decided to browse the shops next to the sushi bar.

He ended up stumbling across Kinokuniya – A fairly new bookstore in North Austin. He told us it looked like a really cool place for little knick-knacks& books but when we arrived it ended up being anime heaven!

Kinokuniya USA offers a wide variety of books, magazines, and stationery from Japan. We are proud to bring you our extensive collection of Manga, graphic novels, art and design books, cookbooks, travel books, children’s book, and more, both in English and Japanese. We also offer Chinese books at our Seattle store.

I’m hoping I can plan an IRL stream at this place to show you all the awesome things they have inside the store! The pictures don’t even catch a glimpse of all the amazing things I saw there.

Just wanted to make a post sharing some of my photos I took from today – Like I said, I hope we can plan the IRL and visit the place again soon! I was definitely like a kid in a candy store… so much to look at!

If you’re very interested in Japanese books, manga & a lot of their culture + fun little nick-nacks, I highly recommend checking out this bookstore. I can say it’s definitely one of my favorite places to be at during the weekends. There is always something new to find in-between all the little things!
